July Inflation Data:
The wholesale price index (WPI) for the month of July rose 6.85% vs
7.25% in June. The primary articles inflation rose 10.39% this month
versus 10.46% in June. Food inflation declined to 10.06 % vs 10.81 %
June.

NIFTY OUTLOOK : Today on a day before Our Independence day 15 August, markets closed in green. After opening on a slightly listless note and moving in a tight band till noon. The markets gained momentum in the afternoon trade and closed with moderate gains. Following the Inflation data for July released by the government showing a decline in wholesale price inflation. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty index settled at 5380.35, slightly off the day's high of 5387.05, gaining 32.45 points or 0.61%. The Nifty closed at 5378.90, up 31 points or 0.58%. Oil, bank, metal, automobile and consumer durables stocks moved higher.
