Stock Market Trading Report Today|NSE BSE Stock Tips|Nifty Range For Tomorrow 22 February:- On the first trading day of the weak, the markets closed with moderate gains. Realty was the leading performer of today's trade, it hogged the limelight in afternoon trade. In the morning the market opened on a firm note then surged higher as the session progressed, despite proving a bit choppy at times. The positive sentiments came from heavy inflow from FIIs, hopes of a rate cut and easing worries about eurozone economy following a second bailout package for Greece. Finally the BSE Sensex closed at 18405 up 115 points and the NSE Nifty closed at 5599 up 35 points.
Other than Realty, Consumer durables and Oil stocks too moved up sharply. Power, Capital Goods, Bank and Metal stocks found good support. On the other hand FMCG, Pharma and Automobile remained mixed today. IT stocks were subdued for most of the session. Top Nifty stocks were BHEL, ONGC, Rel Infra, Rel Industries, Hindalco.
